Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Application Review

Once we’ve received your application, a member of our team will review it.  If you are a potential match, we’ll schedule a call to learn more about your skills and experience.

If we don’t think you’ll be a fit this time around, we’ll let you know as soon as possible by email.
Stage 2

Initial chat with us

After we've reviewed your profile, we’ll book an initial intro conversation with you, usually for about 30 minutes over Google Meet.  We want to use this time to learn more about you and give you the chance to learn a bit more about us.

We want to know what’s inspired you to consider Mooven as a place to work and what matters most to you when it comes to this role. We also want to discuss your thoughts around salary and any non-negotiable expectations you may have.

We will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about the role, our company, our hiring process and anything else that’s on your mind.

If we don’t think you’ll be a fit this time around, we’ll let you know as soon as possible after the call, and ask that you’d do the same if you don’t think the role’s going to be right for you. 
Stage 3

Questionnaire & Case Study

Joining a new team and Company is a big decision.

We invite you to complete a role-specific Case Study to give you deeper insight into the real work and to create an opportunity for you to showcase your skills and experiences.

We also use a personality questionnaire and aptitude assessments to learn more about the type of work and work environments that suit you best.

You will have the opportunity to present your Case Study findings and review and discuss the assessment insights during the final interview stage. 

Candidates tell us they really enjoy this stage of the process as it gives everyone the opportunity to learn more and deepen the conversation.
Stage 4

Presentation & Insights Review | Let's go deeper

This is your opportunity to present your Case Study findings.  We will take your lead on how you want to run this 90 minute session, reserving 30 minutes at the end so we can share and discuss the assessment insights with you. 

We’re looking to experience what it’s like to work together, observe you in action and deepen the conversation.

We will also involve others in our team at this stage and will provide more information on who you'll be meeting when we set this up.

By this end of this stage we expect to know enough about each other to make a final decision, however if either of us needs more information we will do what it takes to close the gaps.
Stage 5

Offer to join us!

By the time we are at this stage you'll know we're interested in making you an offer.  We will have already talked about what you're looking for and have shared what we can offer you.

We make our offers subject to reference checks because we know your referees are busy people.  We see the reference check stage as a chance to verify the way you see yourself and explore some of the assessment insights we have aligned around during the final interview discussion.  We also use this to learn more about how to ensure we set you up for success at Mooven and enable you to perform at your best.
Stage 6

Background Checks

We will ask you to share the contact details of two people you've worked closely with, including at least one direct manager, so we can schedule a 20 minute conversation with them.

This is a chance for us to verify the way you see yourself and explore some of the assessment insights we aligned around during the final interview discussion.  

We really enjoy these discussions and find they really help us to ensure we set you up for success at Mooven and enable you to perform at your best.
Stage 7

Welcome to the team!

Woo hoo!!! It's time to celebrate!  We love this stage of the process.  

We will contact you shortly after completing our conversations with your referees and assuming all goes well, we'll be confirming our offer and talking to you about your first day and our plans for getting you off to a great start!
